Hydrogen Seattle Welcomes PR and Social Media Expert Brenda Collons

Hydrogen Advertising welcomes agency veteran Brenda Collons to a new role at the agency. Collons will lead the public relations and social media team at Hydrogen as vice president, director of strategic communications and public relations. She brings several clients to the agency, all in the building products category.

Collons joins Hydrogen following 11 years as partner and owner at C Squared Advertising, a Seattle and Portland-based advertising agency specializing in the built environment. “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Hydrogen,” said Collons. “It feels like coming home as I have crossed paths with many of the team members at Hydrogen at one time or another,” Collons added.

After nearly 30 years working in the ad agency business helping to launch national and international marketing campaigns, Collons is known for her ability to recognize the essence of a company’s brand and translating it into strategies that resonate. Her broad B2B and B2C experience includes brands like Westin Hotels and Resorts, McDonald’s, Jacuzzi, Weyerhaeuser, and Nordstrom as well as several clients in the built environment category.

“Brenda will lead Hydrogen’s public relations practice as well as the Accoya, Kohler, and Icynene brands,” said Tom Scherer, President. “Her deep connections and knowledge in the built environment category as well as her social media chops will benefit our clients with any kind of earned media needs.” Scherer added Collons’ experience running a successful business and managing and growing a cohesive team will make her a valuable addition to the leadership at Hydrogen, which also includes Partner/Executive Creative Director, Mary Knight, Partner/Creative Director, Michael McGrath and VP/Accounts and Strategy, Hillary Miller.
